Dean has been selling and installing carpet out of our home since 1992. He has been cleaning carpet and tile since 2006. He installed carpet for the previous owner, Don Kelly, for approximately 10 years. Dean loved working for Don. Don suffered a massive heart attack in May of this year and passed away. After the memorial service, Don’s wife, Christine, set up a meeting with Dean and asked him if we would be interested in taking over the business. Dean came home and spoke to me about it, and we decided we should give it a try. Our life has been very busy since. We are very grateful and honored to be taking over the business that Don and Christine started so many years ago. It has been a quick learning process for me because I never thought I would need to know about carpet/tile/wood floors and accounting or advertising. I am a 9-1-1 dispatcher for Van Buren Township and Belleville. We have two sons in elementary school. Dean’s cousin, Chris Springer of Pinckney, handles all of our hardwood floors. He has 21 years of experience with custom woodworking and hardwood floors. In 1995, he won a nationwide flooring contest.
